We completed our third House!
Pictured above is homeowner Cara Scott and her daughters Natori and Jayla along with Angela Flores Beck and team members of the Fayette Habitat for Humanity. We were able to get the official paperwork done and see Cara and her family move in just in time for Christmas.
Habitat
owns two vacant lots, both located in La Grange, and fundraising has
started for the next build. Fayette County Habitat depends on
financial contributions and volunteer labor from our local community.
Local generosity enables Habitat to provide decent housing for
Fayette County families currently living in substandard conditions
who are unable to qualify for conventional financing. These partner
families put in sweat equity to help build their own house and assume
a 30 year mortgage which helps fund the next house built in Fayette
County.
We look forward to the weeks, months and years ahead in service of the people of Fayette County. If you want to get involved, the best place to start is right here on this web site. Click about us to find out how you can help. Many times we talk with people who say that want to get involved, but have never been asked. Well, you are being asked right now! Please help us to help others. God bless you |
