Family Selection Process Begins for Third Home We are pleased to announce the beginning of next family selection process. The next home will begin construction this summer in La Grange for a family of four or less. To qualify for the purchase of a Fayette County Habitat home, you must:
- Be a US citizen,
- Have lived in Fayette County for the last twelve months,
- Have
the ability to pay the mortgage on the home to be built, but make less
than $25,000 per year for a family of four, $22,600 for a family of
three, $20,100 for a family of two and $17,550 for an individual,
- Be in need of adequate housing, and
- Be willing to partner by working at least 300 hours, attending education workshops, and more.

We are pleased to announce that a Benefit Concert will be held by famed guitarist Philippe Bertaud. The Concert will be at the Bugle Boy in La Grange on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Also preforming will be the Duet of Amanda Jassen Tipps and Ed Collins. Tickets are $40.00 each and are available from any board member.

Philippe Bertaud will perform a benefit concert supporting the Fayette County Habitat for Humanity at the Bugle Boy in La Grange on Thursday, April 30th. The Reguladores Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Makes Donation

On Dec. 3, the Reguladores Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, South Central Chapter presented Fayette County Habitat for Humanity a check for $1,000. This donation was a result of proceeds from the Reguladores fund-raising event which was held on Nov. 3, 2008.
Join the Reguladores (the South Central Chapter of the Law Enforcement Motor Cycle Club) for an afternoon of Music, Food and Fun benefitting Fayette County Habitat for Humanity. This event will be held at Brisket & Brew (3932 N. US Hwy 77, La Grange, (979) 242-2458) on November 8, 2008. The festivities begin at 3:00 PM and will also include a raffle. Everyone is invited to join in the fun!
A Big Thank You to Recent Donors! St. Paul Lutheran Church presented a check to Habitat on September 14, 2008 The Holy Smokers from St James Episcopal very generously chose Habitat as the recepient of their last BBQ sale. They presented a check on October 16th. Some of the Holy Smokers joined us at the Anderson Home Project site on Friday October 17, 2008. |
Ride for Habitat on March 15, 2008 Cycle La Grange would like to invite all Cyclists, Motorcycles and Old Car owners to join them on March 15, 2008, for the 3rd annual Ride for Habitat for Humanity. Come and help build a house! CYCLISTS: Whether you are practicing for the BP MS 150, your next ride or simply want to enjoy the fresh air of Fayette County, you will find that La Grange has what you are looking for. From the challenge of our hills to many scenic routes, ranging from 20 miles to 73 miles, we have you covered.
MOTORCYCLE SHOW: Motorcycle owners enter your bike into a judged Motorcycle Show. We will be awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies. Entry fee $5.00.
